“Chronic pain is an issue that affects everyone. It may not be you, but it can be your spouse,
your child, your friends; it could be anyone you are in contact with.” – Dr. Yusuf Mathai,
Oregon Health DPC.
“While we understand that overprescribing and addiction to opioids is a real and truly frightening epidemic in our country, we as physicians and caregivers need to remember pain is real. It is real to our patients, and to the ones who love them. And it is our responsibility to make sure we treat them responsibly. Which may mean short term opiates for acute pain, then to explain all the options that are available to them to treat ongoing chronic pain, so that they may lead life actively and pain-free and without dependencies.” Because of this understanding, Oregon Health DPC has joined with the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce and Radiant Pain Centers to bring you an enlightening gathering to hear about some of the new options for patients who suffer from chronic pain.
As part of the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Wellness Wednesday series, the event scheduled for October 23, 2019, promises to offer insights on the best practices and alternatives to using opioids.
Oregon Health DPC’s mission is to provide affordable, personalized health care which includes
